I grew up outside of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, I attended Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where I received a B.A. degree in Psychology. I then studied Clinical Psychology at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. Following this, I traveled back across the country to Rochester, New York, for an internship in Child and Adolescent Psychology at the University of Rochester Medical School with additional study in the area of Neuropsychology. I was invited to stay on at the medical school for advanced training during a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in child, adolescent, and family treatment.
In 1999, I opened a private practice in Rochester, NY. My relationship with the University of Rochester Medical School has continued and I serve as a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor, teaching and supervising interns and post doctoral fellows. In 2001, I was honored by the medical school with the James Michael Award for Excellence in Adjunct Faculty Teaching in the Psychology Training Program. In my leisure time I enjoy hiking, reading, cooking, spending time with my family, and playing with our family pets.
